I have had he opportunity to look inside 4 pairs + mine of Nazca´s as I have helped those people to refill their HD3ps and they have had only the two versions of filters I described. As 8uF would put an awful strain on the amplifier and likewise the tweeter it would seem unlikely to me that they are original. If you have one old (with screws on the front) or the newer one does not matter, they are the same. All the Nazca´s I´ve seen have the same filter for the midrange so there seems to be no logic in changing the HD3p filter that much. The 8uF version seems somewhat desperate to me, for whatever reason, and m. milot is not desperate. 😉

For what I know there were only two versions of the HD3p filter for the Nazcas, one with a capsuled transformer (oldest) and one with the open transformer. Both filters had the same crossover frequency but the tranformers had a different impedance ratio to lessen the strain on the amplifier. The oldest filter had 4,7uF/.68 ohm as a input capacitor/resistor and the later one 2,2uF/1 ohm dito. The output series resistors 470 ohm+ 1Kohm were the same for both versions. Each of them sound pretty much the same but the later one´s a bit airier.(better) Hope you and others have some use of this info.

Addition info for the HM210Z8 is that has some more modifications by G. milot in that is has a different inner spider suspension and a double outer rubber suspension on the later Nazca series than a standard Z8 would have. For the midrange Hm170z6 (custom Leedh version)I woud think it is impossible to find and one has to settle for a Z2 type wich is almost equally impossible to find, so you must have great luck finding these!

maybe this was of no help but if you want to take out the filter section from the box you first have to take out the front bass speaker then proceed like the following: lay down the speaker on its back. Lift up « its head » and lay something under that is about 3-4 cm high (preferably a coushion) so that the filter section do not fall out to far when you gently bang it out from the front and throu the bass speakers mouning hole. Make sure you bang on the hatch that the filter is mounted and not at the speaker cabinet. Use a long(@35cm x 1cm dia.) rod or a chisel to bang with a club gently round the cornes as it soon will come out. ( it will). When it has come out be careful when you lift up the speaker again not to brake the wires,( best if you are two people) then put the filter hatch on a stool that is at the right height for laying it just outside the speaker. Then you have to be good att soldering because it is an elaborate work to install new banana plugs.

take a look under the heading Retro Leedh and you scroll down to the picture on the terminal with four banana plugs, thats what the original terminals on the Perspective should look like. These terminals are intended for bi-wiring or single wiring if they are shorted pairwise red/red and black/black

Seems like you spent a lot of work going on in to these Auras. Lots of things to keep in mind . But I hope for you it gets worth the time spent 🙂 I have one little concern though when looking at the pictures of yours, is how the bass units are so close that they might touch each other. Hope i´m wrong but this is very likely to give some spurious buzzing noises since the surface, the felt, is moving somewhat during play?/Oafem

Her is another method to reinflate the HD3P:s I use my vaccum cleaner to reinflate them. The principle is to apply a vacuum on the front side so that atmospheric pressure fills the cavity of the tweeter when the screw is withdrawn from the rear. If you make simple box of wood, not a paper shoebox, with one opening for the tweeter front on top of it, make it as big as the oval shape of the tweeter, and then one connection hole on the side of the box for the vacuum nozzle.
To reinflate the HD3P you simply place the tweeter over that opening of the box, diaphragm down, rear screw removed, then gradually turn up the vacuum cleaner until the maximum speed, meanwhile you seal it with a some re-usable tack seal. Done! that only take afew seconds. It is a good idea to put some velvet on top of the woodbox so there will be some slight leakage during the suction process.Best regards,
